This project was designed to allow us to bring together all the elements of what we have learn through our previous design units of the professional practice and to deepen our understandings further in the brand ethos of a company. All saints was a particular original high street brand to design for as it has its own signature styling and show’s to be a niche in the market because of its styling aspect, placing the company between the hierarchy of designer ready to wear and upper end high street.
Due to the fact that the company has such a particular styling I felt that the research period was very important. So I decided to take a visit to a number of stores and concessions to enable me to get a greater feel of the company and the collections. I decided to compile a range of sources and photographic evidence that shows the ethos of the company, focusing my search on the theme of the store, collections, store layout, packaging details, signature garments, colour themes and print, the look of the sale assistants and advertisement campaigns. Through this original research I felt I had a better understanding on what the requirements of the company was, I could then start sourcing inspiration for my designs that I was confident that would reflect all saints ethos.
